l\u2019int\u00e9grit\u00e9 de l\u2019os et une mise sous pl\u00e2tre ou attelle, selon la gravit\u00e9 et l\u2019emplacement, suffit pour immobiliser le membre atteint. Dans ce cas, le kin\u00e9sith\u00e9rapeute peut intervenir assez pr\u00e9cocement pour conserver l\u2019\u00e9tat des muscles de la zone l\u00e9s\u00e9e qui ne travaillent pas et pour aider le patient \u00e0 maintenir la mobilit\u00e9 des autres articulations en jeu. Par exemple, lors d\u2019une fracture de l\u2019os du bras (l\u2019hum\u00e9rus), le malade ne peut pas bouger ou peu de lui-m\u00eame l\u2019\u00e9paule, le coude et le poignet. Dans ce cas son m\u00e9decin peut d\u00e9cider de l\u2019adresser au kin\u00e9sith\u00e9rapeute qui sollicitera ces articulations et qui proposera des exercices afin de conserver au maximum la fonction du membre touch\u00e9. Le travail est progressif et toujours \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9coute de la douleur, indicateur pr\u00e9cieux de l\u2019\u00e9volution. La prise en compte de l\u2019avanc\u00e9e de la r\u00e9paration des structures touch\u00e9es est, bien s\u00fbr essentielle. Il convient d\u2019attendre le d\u00e9lai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 par le chirurgien pour la reprise de la mobilisation de la zone op\u00e9r\u00e9e. La priorit\u00e9 est de maintenir l\u2019int\u00e9grit\u00e9 du mat\u00e9riel et des structures anatomiques. Cependant, il peut aussi \u00eatre n\u00e9cessaire de mobiliser les autres parties du corps pour \u00e9viter de perdre la fonction lors de la lev\u00e9e des mesures de protection du membre atteint.
